Why active forms matter
Most vitamins come in two forms. The raw form, which your body has to convert before it can use, and the active form, which your body can use right away.
For most people, that conversion happens automatically. But alcohol interferes with it.
Heavy or prolonged drinking impairs the liver enzymes responsible for converting raw B-vitamins into their active forms. So even if you're eating well or taking a standard multivitamin, your body may not be getting what it needs.
This is why the form of a vitamin matters as much as the dose.
Compose Daily uses three active-form B-vitamins: MagnaFolate® Pro (active folate), methylcobalamin (active B12), and P5P (active B6).

I already take supplements. Why add this one?
Most supplements aren't formulated with the specific damage alcohol causes in mind. The B-vitamins in a standard multivitamin are typically cheap forms your body still has to convert before it can use them. Alcohol impairs that conversion. Compose Daily uses only the active, pre-converted forms, the ones your body absorbs most easily.
Is it safe to take alongside naltrexone or other Oar Health medications?
Compose Daily is a nutritional supplement, not a medication. As with any supplement, we recommend checking with your Oar Health care team if you have specific concerns.
I’ve stopped drinking. Do I still need this?
The damage alcohol causes to your liver, brain, gut, and sleep doesn't reverse automatically when you stop. These systems take time to recover. Compose Daily supports that recovery. It's just as relevant in the months and years after stopping as it is during active drinking.
